Rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. Waited 2 hrs for the first time to meet him. When questioned that I was frustrated, he walked out of the room and refused to talk to me and my family and left us helpless. He has no empathy. I would not recommend him.
From the first meeting through the surgery to the post op follow up Dr. Schwartz gave me complete confidence in his abilities and backed it up with the successful removal of my tumor. The surgery was a success and I owe him being able to get back to living. There are not strong enough words of support for me to write. He is a true professional and I and many others owe him our lives.
Dr. Schwartz did a wonderful job removing my husband’s very large left frontal meningioma. Three months post-op he has no pain or discomfort, and has been cleared to resume all regular activities. We recommend Dr. Schwartz and his team at Weill Cornell without reservations.
Extremely poor bedside manner. Condescending and arrogant. Responds to patients’ questions with impatience and attitude. Would not recommend.
Dr. Schwartz is an excellent doctor. He is a kind and compassionate man who took the time to answer every one of my many questions so that I would be as comfortable as possible with my surgery. I have been told by doctors since my operation that I clearly picked the right surgeon. Everyone, even my regular doctors, are amazed at how well I’m doing. They tell me that no one would ever know I had brain surgery. I trust Dr. Schwartz so much that I brought my mother to see him when a spot was found on an MRI of her brain. His staff is intelligent, thoughtful, and extremely responsive. They are exactly what you need when going through such an ordeal. I was incredibly lucky to find such skilled, kind and caring people. I highly recommend Dr. Schwartz, his staff, and WeillCornell Medicine.
Dr. Schwartz is definitely a leader in his field of neurosurgery, everyone I spoke with, especially the doctors & nurses, said he was the best. He is a warm, kind, compassionate person with a wonderful bedside manner. He really is devoted to his patients. He treated me with respect and listened to what I had to say. When I had an issue with my medical insurance he went above and beyond to help me. My nickname for him is “Dr. McDreamy”, he’s so good looking and with a heart to match. I am happy to report that my surgery was successful and I owe my life to Dr. Schwartz.
